Originally from Ireland and trained in London, I’m a licenced social work and uk-registered psychotherapist and researcher with a background in three distinct schools of therapy: psychoanalytic, integrative and existential.

I now live and practice from near Boston, Massachusetts. Before relocating to Chicago in 2017, I ran a private practice in Hamburg, Germany and provided consultation to the British National Health Service (NHS).

I hold an undergraduate degree in social work, as well as dual Master’s degrees in psychotherapy and counselling, and psychotherapy studies from Regent’s University London and the University of Sheffield respectively. I have PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) in psychology and psychotherapy from Regent's University London and the University of Northampton.

In addition, I hold post-graduate certifications in dynamic interpersonal therapy (DIT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and advanced Motivational Interviewing (MI).
